Grown and harvested at a 900-year-old monastery in the “Holy Valley” of Qadisha, using rustic, regenerative practices using fertile, nutrient-rich soil that ensues a healthy, well-balanced, extra fresh oil.

Our Single-origin, first-cold pressed  'liquid gold' EVOO, is made from hand-picked Lebanese olives that are carefully cold-pressed without the use of chemicals or heat to preserve the oil's natural flavor, aroma, and nutritional benefits. The result is a richly golden oil with high-polyphenol content and exquisite taste.

Najeau’s heritage is rooted in our traditions. We feel honored to be able to use oil straight from the source, a source that profits the people there. This olive oil is an homage to my family, my ancestors, and the people of Lebanon.

"For us and our family in Lebanon, olive trees are more than just plants-they are cherished family members, passed down through generations. These ancient trees symbolize heritage, resilience, the deep connection between the land and its people."

LES COUSINES

A Heartful Olive Oil

Our EVOO is about passing something down to the next. Whether its high quality ingredients, the Lebanese tradition, or good health, there is always interdependency at play. And we believe in the power of cultural connection to bridge a fractured world.

Lebanon continues to be a rich hub of food, culture, and a strong community.

Single Origin, Bold Flavor

Our EVOO is made of Aaryouni olives, singled-sourced, and unfiltered. We believe the less we intervene in the process – the better. These olives are some of the most unique in the Mediterranean.

Nestled in the Qadisha Valley in northern lebanon is a locally-owned farm where we source our olive oil. The Wadi Qadisha, meaning "Holy Valley" in Arabic, features a lush geography that is supported by unique terraced terrain, efficient rivers, and natural irrigation systems that allows it be the perfect place to grow olives and all kinds of crops.

Rooted in Good Health

At Najeau, we're focused on exploring all the ways quality ingredients can promote good health & wellness. Our LES COUSINES EVOO is the foundation of a healthy gut and skin. Low acidity and high polyphenols is the most important thing to consider, and we've made sure our EVOO hits the mark.

HITTING THE MARK

Low Acidity

Our olive oil consistently maintains an acidity level below 0.8%, meeting the standard for Extra Virgin classification.

The low acidity in EVOO is indicative of minimal processing and the use of high-quality olives, ensuring the preservation of vital nutrients and bioactive compounds. One of the primary anti-inflammatory agents in EVOO is oleocanthal, a phenolic compound that mimics the effects of ibuprofen by inhibiting the activity of cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes involved in inflammatory processes.

Setting the bar

High Polyphenol

Polyphenols are powerful antioxidants that help combat oxidative stress and inflammation in the body, which can lower the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers. These compounds also give EVOO its characteristic peppery and sometimes bitter taste.
